Books Motivate Foundation hosts the 2021 Reception of Champions Climate Awards virtual event on Saturday, August 28 from 12 Noon to 2 pm Eastern. The event celebrates awards to Philadelphia High School for Creative and Performing Arts student, Patrick Cannon, 2021 National Climate Student Essayist who will share a reading of his essay entitled, “Biodiversity Loss.” The 2021 National Climate Teacher award, the 2021 Books Motivate Volunteer and community awards will also be presented. Featured climate film screenings and panel discussion with community Q&A include guest presenters, Senior Director of Project Drawdown, Crystal Chissell and Dr. Gregory S. Jenkins, Professor of Meteorology and Atmospheric Science, Geography, and African Studies from Penn State University with moderator, Dr. Pamela Ellis, Executive Director, Books Motivate Foundation.
