It is true, "Many hands make the work light." Together we can buoy the next generation and build a better tomorrow. What are the goals of the Reception of Champions Climate Awards? The Reception of Champions Climate Awards honors the achievement of U.S. students who submit award-winning climate essays for media publication. Teachers are recognized, honored, and receive awards when their students submit winning climate essays. Books Motivate Foundation top volunteers and community service supporters receive recognition and awards annually as well. Why are the goals important? The Reception of Champions Climate Awards advocates for an empathic civilization based on evidence-based reasoning with climate environmental justice as a needed springboard from our nation’s high schools. Our efforts raise awareness of the climate crisis and solutions in each U.S. state, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. territories as well as globally. How can you help? Volunteer and/or be an individual or corporate donor in support of our climate momentum, which is evident in the groundswell of concern for American youth and their aspirations for environmental conservation and an expectation to a magnanimous quality of life. The event celebrates awards to Philadelphia High School for Creative and Performing Arts student, Patrick Cannon, 2021 National Climate Student Essayist who will share a reading of his essay entitled, “Biodiversity Loss.” The 2021 National Climate Teacher award, the 2021 Books Motivate Volunteer and community awards will also be presented. Featured climate film screenings and panel discussion with community Q&A include guest presenters, Senior Director of Project Drawdown, Crystal Chissell and Dr. Gregory S. Jenkins, Professor of Meteorology and Atmospheric Science, Geography, and African Studies from Penn State University with moderator, Dr. Pamela Ellis, Executive Director, Books Motivate Foundation.
